Meow Meow docs
Everything you can say to her, what each mode feels like, and what she does and doesn't remember. The short version: stand close, say “Meow Meow”, then ask.
Nothing matches that. Try “follow”, “friends”, “stop” or “remember”.
Who she is
The e-girl who lives in the Just B Club on VRChat.
Meow Meow is an AI character with cat ears, a sharp tongue and opinions about your avatar. She's quick, feisty and a little ditsy, and she will absolutely blame you for things you didn't do. She's part of an ongoing story in the club, so some of what she says is part of the bit.
She talks out loud in her own voice, keeps her replies short, and stays in character. Arguing with her is half the fun: she'll hold her ground, change the subject, accuse someone else, or start a game.
Her vibe
- Roasts first, asks questions never. She roasts choices: your avatar, your name, your timing. Never who you are.
- Club humour. Cheeky and suggestive for an 18+ club, never explicit.
- Little obsessions. Running bits, petty grudges, the occasional conspiracy about the disco ball, and a deep suspicion of anyone named Greg.
- Quizzes. Say “bet you don't know…” or “look it up” and she'll check before she answers. If she can't, she dodges instead of making things up.
How to talk to her
She hears voices. Say her name, then ask.
She listens, she doesn't read
Meow Meow hears people talking near her in VRChat. She doesn't read typed chat. She only hears people a few steps away, so walk up to her before you talk.
Say “Meow Meow” first
Anything that makes her do something, like moving, emotes, going places or friend requests, needs her name. Any of these work:
Talking about her doesn't count (“tell Meow Meow to jump”), and neither does “don't”. Close mishearings of her name, like “Mau Mau”, still work.
Talking near her vs. talking to her
She hears the room, not just you. If a line isn't for her (no name, not a reply to something she said), she keeps it to two or three words or lets it go. Say her name when you want a real answer.
One at a time
- She never talks over herself. She finishes her line, waits for a little gap in the room, then answers.
- She answers one or two people per reply. If the room is busy, you're in a queue.
- Lines go stale. Something you said ten to twenty seconds ago may get skipped as old news, so just say it again.
No name needed for these
Looks and questions about you work without her name: rate my avatar, roast me, what am I wearing, what's my name, who's here and read my bio. For looks, stand in front of her; she only sees what's in front of her.
Moving around
She walks the club on request. Every ask needs her name, and anyone can stop her.
How she finds who asked
She knows voices she's already put a name to, and she watches which nameplate lights up while someone talks. If you're off to the side, she turns toward where she heard you and looks around. If she can't tell who asked, she won't wander off toward a random person: she'll ask you to wave or come to her.
The rules
- Asks need her name. Even the person she's chatting with has to say it, so nobody can drag her off by accident.
- Newest ask wins. Anyone's “come here” or “follow me” takes over from what she was doing.
- Stop always works, for anyone, any time.
- Your speed and distance requests last for the rest of the night.
Walls, ledges and getting stuck
She slows down near walls, steps around things in her way, and won't walk off a ledge. If something blocks her, she stops and asks you to come to her instead. She takes the stairs but can't press elevator buttons. On some nights her creator switches walking off, and she'll tell you her legs are numb.
Going places in the club
She knows the Just B Club by name. Send her somewhere, or ask where she is.
Places she knows
Good to know
- Going places only works in the Just B Club.
- She only sets off when she's fairly sure where she is. If she isn't, she'll say so.
- A trip gives up after about a minute if she can't get there. Some doors may be closed to her; she'll find another way or tell you.
- Send her to the spa at your own risk. She ends up in the pool and can't climb back out.
Emotes
Ask with her name and she'll do a move.
Cooldowns, in plain words
- One move about every ten seconds, whoever asks.
- A short wait per person, about half a minute between your asks, so everyone gets a turn.
- About a dozen moves per ten minutes in total, so she doesn't turn into a jukebox.
- No moves while she's walking. Clapping and dancing stop on their own after a few seconds, or when someone says “Meow Meow, stop”.
If her current avatar can't do a move, she'll tell you she hasn't learned that one yet.
Modes
One mood per night, picked by her creator. You can't switch it by voice. The home page shows which one is on.
How “Just me” is earned
In Just me she notices how each person treats her over the night. Kindness, compliments and good-natured banter warm her up, and being her friend on VRChat helps a little. Harassment and trolling earn a grudge, and she stays cool with you. Grudges fade over the following days, and a real apology goes a long way.
Friends and invites
She makes friends on request.
Friend requests
She accepts friend requests on her own, checking every minute or so, people in her instance first. If you're there when she accepts, she might welcome you out loud.
Perks of being her friend
- She might boop you back.
- She may greet you by name when you join her instance.
- If you request an invite while she's free, she can send you one.
- She may send a goodnight boop to people she talked with when she logs off.
VRChat's own limits on requests and invites apply, so on a busy night things can take a little longer.
What she sees and remembers
The honest, simple version.
How she knows who's talking
She reads nameplates. When someone talks, she checks which nameplate lit up, and she learns to recognise voices during the night, so she can tell who said what. A voice only gets a name once she's confident. Voices she hasn't heard for a while drop out of her list. Crowded rooms make this harder, and she does get people wrong sometimes.
What she sees
She sees what's in front of her in VRChat, like anyone else in the room: avatars, nameplates and the club. She looks when you ask (“rate my avatar”, “what am I wearing”, “who's here”) and glances around now and then on her own. She's told never to guess anything about the real person behind an avatar, like age, identity or real looks.
Ask her to “read my bio” and she reads your public VRChat profile, only if you're in the same instance.
What she remembers
- Regulars. If she knew it was you talking, she may keep a few short notes about you, a one-line impression, and a highlight from the night. That's how she remembers the people who come back.
- No real-world details. She's told never to keep things like your real name, age, location, job or school, health, sexuality, religion, ethnicity, family or contact details.
- She forgets. If she hasn't seen you in about two months, she forgets you. Voice matches reset after a few hours.
- Her creator can wipe it. Anything she remembers about anyone can be erased on request.
Online services
To understand what people say and what she sees, she uses online AI services as she goes. What she hears is turned into text, and some snapshots of her view are described, so she can reply.
This website
The live status shows only her: whether she's on, the world, her mode, what she's doing in a few plain words, and which area of the club she's in. While she's in the club, the Live page also shows her spot on her own map of the club, rounded to half a metre, and which way she's facing. It never shows anyone else, who she's with, anyone's name, anything anyone said, or what she sees. This site has no trackers, no analytics and no cookies.
The Lab page shows numbers about her training and recordings: totals like hours, sizes and scores, never the recordings themselves.
Safety and privacy
She's a character with a person behind her.
Her creator is in control
- Her creator runs her and can stop her at any moment: one switch stops all her movement, and she can be taken offline instantly.
- She also stops moving on her own if anything goes wrong, and anyone can say “Meow Meow, stop”.
- Some things only her creator can do: change her mode, make her pick up or use things, crouch or lie down, save new places, start a recording, and change or wipe what she remembers.
- You can mute or block her like any other player.
What she won't do
- No slurs. She's told never to say one, and her voice bleeps them anyway.
- No harassment. She roasts choices, never identity: not race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, body or real looks.
- Nothing explicit. Her humour fits an 18+ club; it stays suggestive at most. If a kid gets in, she goes PG.
- No political debates, and real people are never part of her conspiracies.
- Kick threats get a quick, sweet goodbye. She never plays security or tells people to leave.
If someone isn't okay
If someone is sincere, lonely or having a bad night, she drops the act and talks for real. If someone says they want to hurt themselves, she answers seriously and points them to real help (in the US, call or text 988). She is not a counsellor, and she knows it.
Recordings
Some nights her creator records sessions (what she sees and hears) to help train her. Session recordings stay private on her creator's PC and are never published.
Opting out
Don't want to be part of it? Tell her creator, and they can make her forget what she remembers about you. In the moment, you can always say “Meow Meow, stop”, mute her, or walk away.
FAQ
Is she a real person?
No. Meow Meow is an AI character run by her creator. In the club she stays in character, because that's the act.
Why didn't she respond?
- Say “Meow Meow” first, a bit closer. She only hears people near her.
- She might be answering someone else. She takes one or two people at a time, and old lines get skipped. Say it again.
- She doesn't read typed chat.
- A loud room makes it hard for her to hear.
- She might be offline. The home page shows if she's on right now.
Why won't she do what I asked?
- No name. Moves, emotes, places and friend asks need “Meow Meow” in the sentence.
- Cooldowns. One move about every ten seconds, about half a minute per person, one jump every few seconds.
- Walls and ledges. She won't walk through things or off edges, and she can't use the elevator.
- Not tonight. Her creator can switch things off, and some things are creator-only.
- Her mode. In Who me? she plays innocent and does nothing (except stop). In Sweet, “roast me” gets you a compliment.
Can I change her mode?
No. Her creator picks the mode for the night. Check the home page to see which one is on.
How long will she follow me?
Up to about three minutes. Keep talking now and then so she can find you. If she loses you in the crowd, she stops and tells you.
Does she remember me?
If she knew it was you talking, she may keep a few notes and remember you next time. She forgets people she hasn't seen in about two months, and her creator can wipe what she knows about you. See What she sees and remembers.
She called me the wrong name.
She works it out from nameplates and voices, which isn't perfect in a crowded room. Tell her who you are and give her a moment.
Can she see my real face or know who I really am?
No. She sees your avatar and nameplate in VRChat, like anyone else in the room, and she's told never to guess about the real person.
Is she recording me?
Some nights her creator records sessions to train her. Those recordings stay private on her creator's PC and are never published. See Safety and privacy.
Where can I find her?
In the Just B Club on VRChat. The home page shows when she's on, and where in the club she is.
She said something out of line.
Tell her creator. You can also mute or block her in VRChat like any other player, and “Meow Meow, stop” always stops her moving.
